Happy Sunday! We are thrilled to share some exciting news about the positive changes and direction our school is taking to enhance your child's learning experience. As we previously shared in our District Improvement Plan earlier this summer, we are committed to making our school an even better place for your children to learn and grow. Today, we want to reiterate some key points that we believe will make a significant impact on their educational journey. Michigan Integrated Continuous Improvement Plan (MICIP): Our commitment to MICIP emphasizes the power of teamwork and collaboration. Teachers, staff, and community come together to continuously improve our school, celebrating each success and supporting one another Collective Efficacy: We recognize the invaluable role our teachers play in shaping the minds of our students. To further empower them, we will focus on collaborative routines that foster idea-sharing and professional growth. Student Attendance: We firmly believe that regular attendance is crucial for academic success. To support this goal Bellevue will be committing itself to developing a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). MTSS is a comprehensive framework to provide support to individuals of all levels. In order to achieve these goals successfully, we needed to first make sure we had the structure to do so. Our new early release calendar allows for the consistent collaboration necessary to support a culture of teamwork. We have also formed partnerships with Calhoun ISD and Marzano Research to support us in our journey. However, there are still some essential steps we will need to take next year, and we want to keep you informed and involved in this process: Bronco Culture: Our staff will cultivate a shared educational language and belief system aligning our teaching practices with research-proven methods. Additionally, we will cultivate shared K-12 values fostering a unified community. This will fortify our resolve during challenges and ensure a consistent approach to education. Teamwork: Collaboration and using collaborative routines are at the core of our work. Whether it be during an early release or during our soon-to-be-created building and district leadership team times, working together as a team allows us to find innovative solutions and elevate the quality of education we provide. People are the Heart of Education: In our schools, every individual must matter. Students' and teachers' emotional well-being must be a priority, as we strive to create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere. That is why we are revising our Code of Conduct, looking at our practices, and developing procedures and protocols that protect students and staff to ensure that our schools are place where nothing distracts learning. By building a cohesive culture and aligning our efforts with clear goals, we are confident that we will create an exceptional learning environment for all students. Together, we can make our district a place of excellence and success! Go Broncos! Dr. Mark Superintendent

Happy Sunday! Bellevue Food Service has achieved remarkable accomplishments in recent years. They introduced scratch cooking, offered hot breakfast options for students, and fostered enthusiasm among many students for attending school. Consequently, we have witnessed a rise in student participation in the meal program. While we aim to build upon their hard work, it is important to acknowledge that the resources available within our district have limitations. By forming a partnership with Chartwells, Bellevue Community Schools can leverage Chartwells' expertise to provide targeted learning support for food service employees. Additionally, we will be able to capitalize on Chartwells' exclusive food item partnerships, thereby expanding the range of menu options for our students. This collaboration with Chartwells not only upholds our outstanding traditions but also supplements them with additional resources, training, and knowledge, all in pursuit of our goal to offer the best and most nutritious meals to our students. Previously, as a district, we often struggled to provide adequate assistance to our food service and director. While we could offer some general resources, lacking expertise in the field made it challenging to provide specific support. Chartwells, on the other hand, will be better equipped to cater to our food service needs, offering a comprehensive range of services and support. Through our partnership, Bellevue Community Schools will gain access to culinary chef and food education programming. Chartwells will provide on-site training, eLearning opportunities, monthly webinars, one-on-one support, and biweekly communication to employees. Additionally, they will have multiple hours of summer in-service training, all geared towards enhancing the skills of our food service staff. Having obtained approval from the Board of Education in June to partner with Chartwells, we are actively engaged in the transition process. Once finalized, we will commence the transfer of Bellevue food service to Chartwells, expecting this transition to be completed shortly after the contract is finalized. Following this, Chartwells will initiate their onboarding process, ensuring that employees are acquainted with the company's food ordering procedures, policies, and operations. By the time school commences on August 21, 2023, Bellevue Community Schools will enjoy the same exceptional service we have come to value, now supported by an esteemed international organization. We are excited about our new partnership! Go Broncos! Dr. Mark McGarry and Chartwells Team

Happy Sunday! During the 2022-2023 school year Bellevue Community Schools was awarded over $300,000 in grants. This money went to paying for interventions, assessments, security, and positions. With the grant money we have paid for better learning supplies. We have plans to improve our school security. Additionally, the grants will help fund positions to support student growth. We are proud of the hard work our staff has done and the thoughtful and intentional ways they have gone about thinking about how to spend grant funds to support student growth. We are already seeing the fruits of this intentionality with increases in test scores on the NWEA and improvement in our graduation rate. it is a great time to be a Bronco! Dr. Mark Superintendent

The ProtectMiChild Registry is a free program that helps keep kids safe from adult-oriented advertising on social media, text, and email. Parents can register their children's social media handles, phone numbers, and email addresses to block ads for products like alcohol, tobacco, pornography, and online gambling. The officials are working to add YouTube and TikTok to the ad blocking service in the near future. https://www.protectmichild.com/
